What is my animal trying to tell me… Self-selection of natural remedies helps us to identify the underlying reasons for behaviour issues, pain and illness. Using our dogs’ most powerful language tool, their sense of smell.
A morning of relaxation, sound therapy and bonding between you and your beloved furry one.
Come for some dog cuddles the first Friday of every month whether you have a dog or are thinking of getting a dog or just miss your dog and need a cuddle.
10:30am We will meet for a walk at Alexandra Park followed by at 11/11:30am a coffee, a cuddle and no doubt a giggle at the CBD cafe called Prosperity on the Ashley Road. Here we will also participate in a quick 10 minute talk on Dog Therapy ranging from self-selection of plant remedies, CBD oil, dog massage and more from our Group leader Nicky Crowe, Dog Behaviourist and Holistic Canine Therapist.
We can’t wait for the dog cuddles and kissing booth to begin…
We all love to stroke and massage our dogs but we might not know if what we are doing really benefits our loved ones. Learn simple and effective massage techniques and be able to identify the dogs’ musculoskeletal system to really make a difference to their wellbeing.
In this workshop we will also explore the healing properties of essential oils with our dogs. Allowing them to self-select. Every dog massage workshop Nicky provides is different to the last one so you will learn something new each time.
Regular home massage keeps our dogs relaxed, calm, healthy, injury free and can ward off arthritis and other pain disorders in later life. It is also a wonderful way to communicate with your dog using touch and body language.
Massage is therapy for all kinds of health conditions. And latest research shows the link between emotional responses such as, anxiety in dogs and concomitant tension in their musculo-skeletal system. Like humans, dogs hold trauma within their body both physical and emotional.
If you would like to have a chilled out dog – massage is one of the most instrumental tools you can use to help them. It helps to transform behavioural issues, such as, fear aggression, barking, anxiety, phobias etc.
